If you had asked me 3 months ago about a processor failure, I would have said not possible given today's tech. (Worked for Intel in the Late 486/Early Pentium days) I learned that a processor can fail just as fast now as a regular IC or PSU. When I was dealing in Pentium 60s and 486DX2s they had such a large geometry that a static discharge would not hurt them too much..today I think it would...I had 2 processors fail about 2 months ago from a vacuum cleaner running near the case. One was a PIII and the other a P4. No beeps, Black screen, and fans worked.

check for the heat coming off the cpu if ther is none then u burnt the cpu
