Unhappy cmos error - keyboard error

I recentyly replaced the motherboard for my computer, actually I upgraded my regular and put together a new on for my son using the motherboard that was in my old comuter.

When I got everything installed the computer started up fine, but I had no video, thinking that maybe my video card was bad I replaced it, still no video, I tried another card and the same thing. I then figured maybe it was the motherboard, maybe something happened to it in the move. I purchased a new motherboard, used, put it all together, and yeah it started up, I have video, but now I get an I get an error when it starts stating that I have a "cmos error" and a keyboard error as well.

I changed keyboard, changed the jumpers to clear the cmos, and replaced the battery. I restarted and I still get the same error. New keyboard again, and I know this one works, still get the same errors on start up.

What do you think that problem is? What should I do next?? This thing is driving me crazy

    thanks,
    ncleo

how about going back to where you bought your motherboard and see if they can run a test on it for you

Since I purchased online, I can't return it, am I just stuck with a faulty board? Or any other ideas on how to fix it??

even if you bought it online you have rights did you buy it new if so send it back and ask for another motherboard if they refuse ask for a full money refund if the supplier does not play ball with you

where abouts did you buy it
