    CD Burning Problem

Hello, I am having a problem with my CD Burner. Well, the CD Burner isn't really the problem, let me explain.

Whenever I make a Data disc on my cd burner, I try to view it on my other computer. When I put the disc in, nothing will pop up, and when I click on the CD drive, it tells me to insert a CD. Now, there is already a CD in there, which I had just burned. I know it's not my CD burner because if I put the cd in my computer downstairs, it will open and work fine, same goes for my brother's laptop. When I use to use it, it would be able to view .txt files that I burnt to a disc. It stopped opening those, and would open .pdf files. It now stops opening those.

I was hoping someone could help me out?

    Thank you

    Marshall.

Just to clarify: your problem is the CDrom (other computer) is not recognizing disks?

Any disks at all? Or just disks that you have burned?

What is the OS on this "other" computer?

Have you checked the drive in the Device Manager?

Make sure the software you are using (i.e. Nero) is finalising the disk. If the software is leaving the session open and / or allowing multi session disks, some CD / DVD drives wont regonise them, unless the are CD-R / -RW's or DVD-R / -RW's.
Failing that upgrade, XP and / or all the software you use to burn / copy CD's. And try and get everyone else to do the same.
