    cant remember all of it but you have to go on to command prompt and type
    "compare c:\windows\(not sure which) d:\(cant remember rest)"

    yes i kno, hardly worth typing but i hope its some help to you

    The command to decompress files is extract, whererby the syntax is

    extract F:\i386\somefunkyfilenam.ex_ c:\windows\system32\somefunkyfilename.exe

    @Oscar AT:
    The other devices u mentioned are not related to your problem with the USB ports. They are problems on their own, prolly also driver issues.

    What i would like to know is what OS you are running ?

    I'm able to extract an/or find the files necessary to these devices off an internet site. Called, I think, www.driversguide.com, or something like that. So finding files is no problem. But the problem with the USB Root Hub device is that I've already gotten the files the computer said was necessary to update the driver, and it still won't work. What do I do now? Should I just find a driver on the internet, and reinstall the driver, or I should do something else? Please respond back.
