Hello.

I have just purchased a KT6V Socket-A Mobo, and noticed that there is a 4-pin power socket on the board, in addition to the normal 20-pin ATX socket. The manual simply says that its a '12v CPU power supply' but doesnt specifically say whether it should be connected in certain circumstances only, or whether it should be connected regardless

I dont want to plug up my CPU and overload the board, so please only reply if youve come across this and know for sure what my course of action should be.

:-) problem sorted. turns out that extra 4-pin is there to provide extra power stability to board in general and gives about 20 more amps of 12v than the normal atx 2-pin.
