not sure what to post this in but i recently bought a brand new pc (this is fine) to play games on (doom3 etc) but want to use the old pc for internet, schoolwork etc and dont want to buy a new monitor and want to connect the old pc to my tv im my bedroom (scart to svideo) but my video card in my old pc has an svideo slot and i found an svideo cable (svideo to svideo, which is no use to me) but tried it and it wouldnt fit in the slot on my video card

ive seen a picture of svideo slots on the internet (here ) and my cble would fit into both of the slots but none look like the one on the back of my old pc?

mine is like seven pin one but with six holes round one rectangle hole with the long edge going up instead of across
