I am unsure of the forum to ask this question but here goes. I have a computer with an ATAPI Zip 100. This works great for only 1 day of use. After that day I have to reboot my XP sp1A machine to be seen again. The Iomega Guest software is up to date and XP is as up to date as possible without SP2. This is on a P4 1.8ghz with a 40gig HD and a CDrom drive on the same chain as the Zip. the Zip is slave not master and was working perfectly for the 3 months prior to last week. I am not at that system so I can not run the HW Scan you have. I am almost about to rip the zip out and toss it in favor of my USB Zip. The only reason I dont is because this place is not secure enough to leave an easily removed chunk of HW laying around.

can you either try installing sp2 and see if that offers any difference you can always uninstall it

or

try reinstalling the software for yor zip drive

have you installed any thing lately that would be in conflict with your zip drive

Unfortunately this system uses SW that SP2 breakes (Accounting) and the Zip is the backup drive for the CSA program. I will reinstall the Iomegaware program to see if that helps. Thank you for your insights.
