    Old hard drives

    Hi Group,

I have a bunch of old computers that I would like to dispose of.

A few (I don't remember which ones) some of which are probally 10-15 years old.

Before I dispose of them I would like to eyeball the drives to see and verify I don't need anything.

One of them has a program I would like to get.

Is there a way to remove the drives from the old computers and install them into a newer computer to access the drives.

None of the drives are password protected.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

    Peter

If you set the jumpers on the old drives as slaves (diagram will be on top of the drive) you should be able to plug them in along side the master drive and read the contents of them. You could also format them from there as well.
