running one pc through router . . .

are there any disadvantages of running one pc through 1 router?
i know this sounds crazy! the reason is that at the moment i got 2 pcs on my connection via my router, my brother wants to take one pc leaving me with the other, i cant really bothered to disconnect the pc from the router so can i just leave my one pc running through my router??
my router is a origo brp 1400.

    thanks

Sure you can leave it connected to the router, consider it an extra bit of security. The router will act as a hardware firewall and mask your IP address for you.

Bear's absoloutely right. Your router probabler uses NAT and that is a great deterent to trojans, port scans and such like. Plus you'll probably have a more stable connection through the router than if you drop back to something like a USB modem.
