I would suggest reset the Bio default and reseat the CPU.

If the same problem, check the PSU, MB and the HDD controller as well.

    Hope this helps.

hey guys, i have the same problem as told in the thread. But i need to have a confirmation that this is the problem.
My computer i built my self, is shutting down during gaming. I have built computers before and they worked flawlessly.
    This issue stumps me.
My cpu/gpu is not overheating, temps are around 50celcius.
I stress tested my computer, it passed all tests. tested ram, ram is fine. Video card has been stress tested, it is fine. I am coming to a conclusion it may be my power supply dieing.
The PSU i bought in 05 i think , im not sure.

    my setup is.

Motherboard : z68A-D3H-B3 intel motherboard from gigabyte.
    Video card: gtx 460 1gb
    CPU : intel core i5 2500 sandy bridge 3.3ghz
    RAM: RipJaws DDR3 1600 9-9-9-24 X8 gb
harddrive:Western Digital Caviar Black WD7502AAEX 750GB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
    PSU: OCZ gaming extreme 700W
I am completely stumpped but have a good feeling its psu dieing

now it wont even load properly, shutsdown during post too! im at a loss for words what could be doing this. i took out and tryed individual sticks of memory, a new harddrive, no deal??...

    Hello again!

My PC is now fine......turns out that my motherboard was toast.(I think) I bought a new ECS A750GM-M v7.0 motherboard and well, turns out that no AM 2 socket motherboards aren't sold anymore. So, I had to buy a new processor as well I bought Athlon II x2 250 3,0 Ghz. And last but not least, where the prob did not exist, had to buy DDR 3 RAM too. It did cost about 102 euros and thats like 150 dollars or something like that. So I don't know what was the real prob, the processor or the motherboard but I am thinking that my motherboard was toast. Mainly because the battery kinda thingies that are on themotherboard, pointing upwards were swollen up. But on the second hand the problem was so unbearbale when my PC had to be turned on like 10 times before i could use windows and when I started to do ANYTHING.....like I mean anything.....then the PC would just shut down and now with the new stuff I do not have a prob anymore.

    Well.....y2k45 Hello there!

I have something that might help you. Well see....I had a prob that when I bought myself the new stuff my games didin't work right.....they acted weird, i could play like 5-10 minutes and the i would have freezes like every 5 seconds in the game and the freezes were 2 seconds. Imagine what kind of annoyance :S. Well.....i tought drivers were the prob and CPU temp wasn't right and I even blamed my PSU but.....BUT....the prob was that that motherboard worked with vista or win 7 and I had XP. When my friend helped me to get Win 7 and I installed it, well....GAME ON newbs

    Best regards ardop12.
    Hope this helps.

My computer runs windows 7 64 bit.
I tryed turning the computer on this morning, and the entire thing went on..then off. The LED of the psu did not even turn on, so imi quite sure the psu has finally died lol, now to order one and wait for shipping :S
