    Re: which printer?

I have a Canon i350. Its a really good quality printer and the ink is very cheap if you get the compatibles. The original Canon cartridges don't cost a bomb either. It prints fast and quietly.

Couldn't be more happier with Canon. My previous printer was Canon. I had it for about 5 years and the cartridges cost £2.50 for black and £3 for colour.

first of all dont buy epson the print heads are built into the machine and are prone to getting clogged, lexmark are cheep and nasty, cannon from my knowlage are resonably reliable (or rarely bought) but the manufactuers warrenty is poor i.e. if it goes faulyt you have to pay postage to send it back to cannon(in the UK), I go with option 4 HP reliable heads integrated into the ink carts plenty of life from the ink carts.
Basicaly you get what you pay for!

I would agree with that. HP have kept me happy for many years. However, I've no prior experience of Canon printers. I've just been looking for a very good multi-function printer/scanner/copier and have bought a Canon MP750 for £185 as it had an excellent review in Computer Buyer magazine. Although it might be slightly more expensive to buy than Epson or HP, the running costs are next to nothing: five or six individual ink cartridges means that you only change the colour you've been using so there's no waste .... and they're only about £2-£3 each !!
