Hi, i have used a few different applications to download home movies from my DV camcorder to my laptop. Whatever application i use, the quality is very jerky and not good quality. My laptop is a P4 1.7GHz with 512MB RAM. It has a NVIDIA GE Force4 420 32MB Graphics card. I am downloading via a USB cable (USB 1).

Have you any tips on overcoming this problem or is it just down to my equipment?

p.s i am sorry if i have placed this discussion in the wrong forum - not sure whether hardware or software related!!!

Dependant upon the codec your using it may be down to your graphics adapter not being up to the job.

What OS and what codec are you using?
