Hi guys im after some more memory (i think)

the problem i have is that i have an asus a7v8x-x m/b amd xp 2500+ barton and 256 ddr pc2100 i think it only runs at 266 top my processor is meant to run at 33 or above if i read right so do i need to change my mem for the 2700 or the 3200? please help intended to buy it tomorrow!

hello alien and welcome to the d-a-l forum if you try the link underneath to crucial on their web site there is a program that will tell you what memory you can use for your set up if you have any problems please come back to me or if this cures your problem please let us know that the thread that you posted has been sorted cheers

it did work once i figured it out thanks for the help i was hopping to get 512 of pc2700 but alas can only aford the 256pc2700 ahh well it will do for now and should allow me to use full 1.8 of my processor instead of the run down 1.4 i curently get!
