new hard drive
Replace hard drive us drive image software and now the pc will not boot up. Test new hard drive it boots up another pc what could be the problem?.

Have you gone into the Bios setup and made sure its detecting it ok?

Have you tried using a different IDE cable? Are the jumper settings correct? (i.e. if it is your 'master' hard disk, are the jumpers set to 'master' and not 'slave'?

Taz and Spider thanks for the reply have tried that when trying to boot the video card fan will not come on and no screen or beep. Any other suggestion ?

Sounds like a power problem rather than hd. Did the old hd you had originally work in it? Have you tried putting the old one back in?
Does anything happen when you turn the comp on? Any keyboard, power lights etc? Have you rechecked all the connections in the case to make sure nothing was knocked and isn't seated properly?

thanks tassie devil i am trying to get into bios i think maybe it is not recoginzing the hard drive and that why it is not boot up the monitor so i can see what the problem is.
