Upgrading my Harddrive
Hi,
I need to add a larger hard drive to my computer, sounds easy, but i've already installed a slave harddrive, but itturned out my neds have since then grown and i need a larger one, but my computer only has the capacity for 2 harddrives, so how can i transfer the data on my exisitng slave drive to the new one, would i have to remove the master drive replace it with the slave one or the new one and then install xp again, trranfer the data over to the new one then put back n the first mastar hard drive? or is thre a less complicated way to do this? I could copy it to disk but i have 67gb of stuff and thats alot to copy especially without a ddvd burner.
can anyone help me?

I think your assumption that your PC can only support 2 H/Drives is actually untrue.
Most PC's that I know of have 2 IDE connections and both can have a Master and a Slave.
What model PC have you got or better still what is the motherboard on your PC.
If you know how to get into your BIOS you will see 'IDE 0' & 'IDE 1' ( Sometimes called 'IDE 1' & 'IDE 2')
If you have a CD drive then it is likely using the master of IDE 1 (or IDE 2 as it's sometimes called) therefore plug into the slave position on your CD drives cable if available or buy a cable with a slave connection to fit to the CD drive and again, plug it in.
