My bios finds cd but no letter in explorer or hardwire manager.
checked jumpers, changed IDE cable and changed CD drive - no luck.

Thanks for answer - could'nt find info you asked for ( I'm a novice ), so I formatted and installed windows 2000 instead of ME. After some small issues, I managed to get it all working.
