i can change it, but i dont kow if its the right thing. I can only change it up to 132 with my 400Mhz processor in, and of course i cant do anything with the new processor in because I cant see anything. i have rechecked and there is nothing on the board for changing FSB rate, and as far as im aware the BIOS updates have nothing to do with FSB settings, etc, and the only one with any relevance is one saying the S3(?) doesnt work with an 800Mhz Fsb P4 processor. I dont know what S3 is so I don know if thats the problem or not. thanks very much for the help, ill keep looking in BIOS for anything I can change.

Looks like that's your problem then - the S3 chip is your on-board S3 graphics chip. If there's a known incompatibility between the video chip and 800MHz P4 processors, then that's why you can't see anything on the screen.
