hard Drive Problem
Hey guys,
Here's the situation. I've got a Seagate, barracuda, IDE harddrive, and a USB 2.0 to IDE converter. The converter allows you to use the Hard drive like and USB hard drive. I am doing this on a laptop. I hooked it all together, windows found the Hardware installed it, and it was good. I went to My computer, and it was there as an external Hard drive. Now the Problem:
I don't know if I did something or what... but for some reason its no in My computer. I go to the device manager and it is there listed as a hard disk. So I uninstalled the driver, and reinstalled it. The windows driver is the correct one. I unhooked it all and tried it again, I restarted, and still nothing.
Any Ideas?

I figured it out... you have to change the status of the drive from (default) performance settings (for easy removal) to the other option (best for read/write etc.) and then format the Hard drive before it will work. Thanks for the thoughts though.
