ok i haven't really got a problem i just need a little info. i've got a new laptop and i wanna hook up my broadband cable modem to both my pc and laptop at the same time. i know i need some sort of network card and i got a wireless usb card but it doesn't do anything do i need an access point?

basically what do i need so both my pcs can use the internet at the same time?

Get yourself a router for the broadband connection this will replace your broadband modem and allow you to connect both PC's via the broadband connection to the internet. Most PC stores will sell routers like this.
