well....i start and not that clever when it comes to computers, i bought call of dut 5 recently and im trying to get set up on my xbox 360, i bought an ethernet cable as my wirelss router broke so im currently on a motorola cable modem....heres the bit where i get stuck!! i rang xbox who after i had connect the ethernet from my xbox to the cable modem, the xbox managed to pick up my I.P address but the guy at xbox said some ports are blocked on my modem??? i phoned my internet provider who tells me i have to contact the modem maker, and to my joy i find that this product is discontinued and that there is none other that USA support at hand for today... can i open these ports on my PC? can i do this manualy, if theres any one who can help i personally come round and give you a pat on the back as i am so mad with not being able to get set up on my xbox live.....hope you can help

Haha Sounds like your having a rough time! Activision would be made at you for calling it cod4 too, but that does sound like an interesting problem! For starters though, who's your modem maker and what product do you have?
