Message 'problem with proxy or firewaall.... what does it mean
I know little ot nothing about firewalls!
I have just spent hours putting together a calendar to send off to an online photo service (using their downloaded software app). At last it is finished and I got to the order processing screen pressed the button to place the order and got.
"Problem with proxy or firewall. connection could not be made please configure your firewall or proxy server or contact your administrator"
What does this measn and how do I fix it.
I run zone alarm free firewall and avg anti virus.
I risked all by switching off both the above then pressing the button again-same result.
I'm desparate because its an urgent job and going to another print site will take ages.
Can anyone help, or point me in the right direction?

If a proxy is active, the settings should be located in your browser. In the case of IE8 or IE7, go to:
- Tools (Menu) > Internet Options > Connections (TAB) > Lan Settings (BUTTON)
- Untick BOX for ‘proxy server’ (if found).
- May need to REBOOT.

Thanks for the reply.
I managed to sort the problem myself.
Despite this being a retail website aimed at the public, deep in the options menu below inconsequential choices of colour and positioning of toolboxes and suchlike there was an anonymous menu which led to two boxes. Are you using a proxy server Yes or No. Both were unchecked. All I had to do was pick no and it worked. How anyone who knows less than I do (which isn't much but more than most) gets on a dread to think.
I hoped to post back before I wasted anyone's time. Sorry!
I guess the lesson is that if you work in IT and build software get real users to test it.
