Recently installed a 3 tb BAS and so far it's working great. I noticed one thing that bothers me. I requires a program called seagate desktop to be running in the background for the backup feature to work. Only problem is it polls the system drive about every second. also when seagate desktop is running, "loads at startup to the system tray," the computer won't go to sleep by itself.

Isn't this polling detrimental to the system hd or shouldn't I be concerned and let it do it's thing?TIA
