I have a Asus netbook that has a problem when i am online that it freezes only on the internet conection, I believe its a software compatibility problem but am not sure how to start to analize and fix this.

How do you connect? Does it freeze on all networks?

its wireless Ive never tried on another network my router is from qwest and do not have anyproblem wqith desktop

also have a PSP that I can get online wirelessly and have no problems with that so like I said have to assume its a problem with the notebook

Sounds like it. Are you in the same room as the WAP - wireless access point - often the "wireless" part of a wireless router? Or are you some distance away?

sorry to get back so late. Iam less than 20ft away and it always shows a excelent connection. I believe that I have it set to WEP connection

Does it freeze immediately, or connect and run fine for a bit, then freeze? If it connects and runs for a bit, then I don't see it as a security setting. I would go visit your local coffee shop that has free wifi and see if you can connect there.
