when i click on link on an email that has been sent to me nothing happens, can anyone help please

How about some useful information, starting with email program you are using. When did this problem start? What version of Windows? Note that links in email programs are often disabled intentionally for security - and that's a good idea.

Sorry about that, Im using Outlook Express on Windows XP, the link is from Hewlett Packard so it should be safe. Cheers

Thanks for the additional information. So it is only HP's email where links don't work? If so, then I suspect the email and not OE. You should still be able to copy the link and paste it into your browser - though if an invalid address, it still won't work.

Hi Digerati, done what you suggested with #5 top ten, now I get a screen which has "internet explorer" in the top left hand corner of the screen and a sign saying "connecting" about 2 inches below it, but it does not connect. Please advise, Thank You

yes, and the HP link is not the only one that doesn't work

Then it would appear to be a setting in OE but I am afraid I don't have access to OE right now to look about. A quick Google search might give you some clues.
