"wireless network connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration"
Hi
I have been having problems recently with my internet connection dropping consistenly every minute throughout out the day and have been having to reset the router to regain the connection. Today when i did that i found that i couldn't reconnect to the internet and when i ran the troubleshooting option it came up with the message: "wireless network connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration". I have a PC connected to the internet via ethernet cable and am currently connected on my laptop (that won't connect wirelessly) via cable, so the internet itself isn't the problem. My laptop recognises the wireless connection just won't connect now.
I have a hp laptop with win 7 and a netgear WGT624 wireless router. Can someone please help.

First thing first, is your router a networking router? You must have networking router that is equiped with wireless signal. Your IP configuration would be set automatic by your IP (Internet Provider). Which they use DCHP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol ) its job is to assign IP addresses.
