    wired and wilreless networking

If I have a laptop connected to a network - wired directly to the router and also wireless to the router which takes priority, the wired or wireless connection.

Most likely the wired but that would really depend on the router and how it is configured. Without knowing anything about the router or anything about the protocol of the WAP, 11b, 11g or 11n it is all a guess. But my guess is the max speed of the wireless is 54Mbit while the Ethernet is most likely 100Mbit.

    Do you mean MBit?

If I where you I would do wired because it is more secure and, provided you have the right cable/port, faster.

No matter which one you choose I would disable the other.

    It's 54mb wireless, 100mb wired, and 11g.
Thanks for the advise. Much appreciated.
