    desktop user directories visible

My hp desktops user directories are visible from my laptop. Trouble is, they are all set to not shared. How can I correct this without a complete re install.

I've pulled up properties on each directory and under the shared tab it states, "Not Shared."

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
    1. Click on the Window Start menu, go to Accessories and choose Windows Explorer. Now from the “Tools”menu choose Folder options. Under the View tab, scroll to Hidden Files and Folders. Put a check in the box beside "Show Hidden Files and Folders."
    2. Navigate to the "All Users" desktop folder in Windows Explorer. Generally, this is "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop."
    3. . Create new icons by right-clicking in the folder, choosing "New" and then selecting "Shortcut." Existing icons can be copied by right-clicking the icon and selecting "Copy." It is then possible to paste the copied icon into the desktop folder.
Now verify the icon is now visible on the desktop. It should be visible to any user who logs in to that machine
