I have a Belkin F5D7050 Wireless-G 54Mbps USB Network Adapter and a Linksys WRT400N Dual-Band Wireless-N Router.

I have a desktop computer which I'm trying to use the adapter to connect wirelessly to the internet. My desktop vista computer recognizes the wireless network connects but does not give it either a IP address nor Internet access.

I called the Belkin company and the guy told me something about changing the signal? I'm not sure the guy wasn't very clear.

The wireless router works fine, my HP Touchsmart computer connects and browses just fine, but the Presario wont connect.

The guy from Belkin said that Vista recognizes it but doesn't actually connect to it because it does not distribute a IP address.

What are some ways I could resolve this problem?

Please and thank you.
