Don't remove the program. Since it isn't a windows program you might not need to have it run all of the time. From start menu click on run & type in services.msc. Now scroll down the list and look for something that says SupportSoft & double click on it; check the file name to make sure it says the correct file. Now click on dependencies & look to see if there is anything listed in the box under The Following system components depend on this service to see if anything is listed. If there is you should not stop it as that could mess something else up. You need to do research to determine specifically what it does and if it is a component of something that you regularly use before turning it off.
