I have recently upgraded from dial-up to Virgin Home Broadband, and its minimum requirement is WinXp (SP2). I CAN receive that wirelessly in WinXP(SP3) - is there a chance that I would be able to keep doing my email in WinMe by networking the WinMe system with the WinXP ? Virgin can not tell me if it would work, and if it did, would not 'support it'.

I suspect your reference to Networking WinMe with WinXp is going to come in handy, once I get encouragement to believe that Virgin's stated limitation is lifted by going through WinXP.
THAT latter part I need some informed opinion about first.
As for Gmail - to get it in WinMe (which is what I am asking about), I would STILL need to be able to access the internet, which Virgin will NOT enable me to do directly with WinMe.
