I'm using zone alarm pro and everytime I turn my computer on it takes about 5 minutes for the internet to work. After this time a message from zone alarm pops up and tells me "New Network Found" I then have two options to select from, I have to select a security level for this network. Either Internet or Trusted. I click done and the net works, I'm just wondering how I can get rid of this as its a little inconvienient. Thanks.

Are you using Wireless ?

If so your pc is being assigned a new virtual IP everytime you shut down your PC... I'm not familiar with Zone alarm, however! I beleive you can trust networks in a variance for instance if your IP is shown as 192.168.0.101, this is a common IP when you are behind a router. So whatever the 1st 3 groups of numbers are on your network (example the 192.168.0 in this case) you can manually configure it to trust 192.168.0.* IF it is anything like my firewall. However I am using a wired connection & my wireless is down currently. :\ You should also be able to configure your pc (with wireless) to use 1 set IP (192.168.0.***) *** being from 2-255 typically 0 & 1 are used for routers, so to cause less confusion I state 2 to 255.

IF you aren't on a wireless connection you may be behind a router, which the above should prove useful. Not really a fix as I don't know what your equipment is

As well as me not knowing alot about zone alarm firewall... I'll do some research, & see what I can find.
