    Router disconnects me from internet

    I hope this is the right forum. My router is a Dlink WBR-2310 with the latest firmware and I am running XP. I need help to make sure I am always connected. I think it lost stability. Help is appreciated.

    Is the router wireless or a standard wired router, also what type of internet do you have? Cabe, DSL?

    I have cable internet and it is a wireless router. Need any other information?

    Are you losing your connection to the wireless network (which is usually reported on the screen by the wireless network card in some way) or does the laptop appear to still be connected but without any Internet link? The next time that it drops, could you let us know what status LEDs you have on the router, which LEDs are on and which are off? Thanks
