I am trying to set up a home wireless network with file sharing. I have set all the computers to the same workgroup name and enabled sharing on the files to be shared. On the computer that is connected wirelessly I open My Network places, click on Entire network then click on Microsoft Windows Network the network shows up and I can access the files but on the computer that is the main computer, the one that the router is configured on, it takes a couple of minutes for the network to show up in Microsoft Windows Network but when I click on the icon for the network, after about two minutes I get an error message that says:
network name) is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of the server to find out if you have access permissions. List of servers is not currently available."
I am the administrator. Why can I access files from one computer but not the other one ? Why does it take so long to find the network?
