Lan problem

every so often the computers on the network will say a network cable is unplugged and then 2-5 seconds after change to 10mbps instead of 100mbps.
After that i can not do anything like use Internet or browse file on other computers on the network.
any help will be greatly appreciated.

-Wired or Wireless?

- "this sounds like your problem but try all listed" Test your modem - modem router that your adapters are connecting to it may be faulty.

-Wired- Check to see if cables are loose or swap with new ones to rule out bad cables.

-update NIC drivers

- remove and insert NIC card to make sure it is sitting properly

- If you are using wireless disable wired LAN connection via network connections

sorry i did not reply to this post for a while i used a different router untill i saw a link to this on virgin media home page

there was a link on there that sorted my problem and it has been working fine for 3 days now
