weak signal strength on wireless connection

    weak signal strength on wireless connection

    Hi i am experiencing problems with my wireless setup.
    My config utility ( Ralink ) tells me that the link quality is good, the noise level is low and the speed is 54mbps. However, the signal strength is weak (15%, -84dBm) and downloads and the internet seem slow.
    Any ideas why? and suggestions to improve would be very welcome.

    Hi sam

    Just a couple of questions first hun Whats your Computer, your Internet interface "Router / Modem", are you plugged in to the main phone socket, are you using any extension cables, is the Router / Modem in another room ?
