When I get my new laptop I will be wanting to make it secure. Last time I tried to set it up I needed to generate a WEP key, now im hearing about a ‘WPA’ key.
Is this similar? Is it similar to generate? Is it free?

When you set a WEP, WPA or WPA2 encryption key for a wireless network, you can make it up yourself. That won't cost you anything. Use a mixture of lower case and capital letters and numbers to make it harder to decipher. Also use the higher levels (WPA or, preferably, WPA2) if all of the devices on your wireless network support it.
