    How to password protect a network?

    hey, i recently bought a router so i could send my internet to more than 1 computer via wireless connecion. my network is unprotected so other people can use my internet if they're in range. how can i put a password on it so nowone else can use it?? cheers for your time.

    do you know the IP address of your router (it may be on the bottom) something like 192.168.1.1

    type that into your browser and go to the routers homepage look for security.

    what make and model is your router?

    go onto your inernet browser then type "192.168.2.1" or "192.168.1.1" and there should be a section called secrity enable it and you can choose the pasword
