hi i'm facing a problem with windows vista which is that every two hours or more I have to change my IP because it gives me that there is an IP conflict and when I try to ping another access point it gives the error 1231 and 1232. any solutions? thanks

Ping error 1231 means that the "remote network is unreachable" or "transmit failed". It might just as well say "No" for all the information that provides! Googling the error shows quite a lot of forum threads where people have this error but not so many where anyone has found a solution - most resolved it by wiping off Windows Vista and installing Windows XP !

Are you trying to use a fixed IP address or to obtain an IP address automatically from a DHCP server? Is this on a home or business network?
