    network help

Hi, i had my daugthers laptop up and running off my comp. The main comp is XP and the laptop ME. I now cant get any internet for her. She shows up in my network places but if you look in properties it says she doesn´t exist on network. I pinged her comp on 127.0.0.1 and it was replied properly. IP address always get timed out. At cmd prmt I put ipconfig/all and got this:
    my comp; DHCP enabled
    ip 87.111.11.220
    subnet 255.255.255.0
    gateway 887.111.11.129
    dhcp server 87.111.11.129
On hers I got ethernet adapter
    DHCP enabled
    IP 0.0.0.0
    subnet 0.0.0.0
An ip address shows up in her newtwok settings. What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks for any help

    Hi,

I'm sorry to see that you've had no reply yet. Is this issue still outstanding? If so, could you please try the following:

    1. Go into the TCP/IP properties for the network connection and set it to automatically receive an IP address.
    2. Go to the command prompt and typing ipconfig /renew.
    3. Type ipconfig /all to see whether it has now got an IP address.
    4. Ping the router on 87.111.11.129 from the laptop to see whether it receives four valid responses.
    5. Try accessing the Internet.

    Thanks
