hi can anyone help. i have an report due in next week for an assessment. The scenario is as follows:

You have been asked to write a report by your manager on the feasibilty of introducing a new telephone system based on Voice Over IP (VOIP). Your report should inform the manager about:

1. VOIP principles and the technology needed within the company
2. VOIP principles and the technology used by telecomms companies to make calls across their networks possible
3. Create an inventory of the type of equipment needed by your company

Your should base your report on a company that employs 200 people spread across 3 floors in one building and small insurance company, making a phone service an essential part of the business.

Please can anyone help and tell me what a VOIP is and any other help on my assessment? Thank you!!
