What kind of laptop you have? It might already have a builot-in network (LAN) port. If so, you may not need to get the PC card for the laptop. Now, if you already have internet access on your main computer, and if your laptop has LAN port, then you can get an inexpensive 4-port switch (hub) and put that between your current internet access port from your VOIP router, and your PC. That leaves 2 RJ45 ports avialabe for use(the two used ports arene comes from VOIP router, one goes to PC). One of those ports that are not used can go to the LAN port of your laptop. But be warned that this requires a little bit of IP configuration in the switch (HUB) and the Lap top and/or your PC.
