After going throught the forum and getting a lovely supply of help, I found that my computer has no firewall what-so-ever. I was wondering if there was a 3rd party program that will supply a firewall, or maybe one of the many programs you have already stated that can instate one.

Check out some of these links. There are many free firewalls out there. Personal opinions will vary on which is best, but any are better than none.

For the most part I'm just looking for something free, somewhat like Spybot S&D that works in the background and has no attached ad-ware

I personally preferred Zone alarm with XP.
