    Unhappy Trouble with new firewall

A few days ago, I posted, under a different topic section, about having trouble with my PC running super slow. I used Spybot, AdAware, and SpySweeper, to try to find the problem. Spybot found 3 - adrevolver, zedo, and wildtangent. I got rid of them (Or so I think) - I even used a program called WTRemover. Reran my software, and all looked good. I posted that I had found the problem! NOT! It's still having trouble.

I believe that since Spysweeper and Avast check for updates automatically, that is a small reason for my slow-downs. What else could it be? I ran Disk cleanup, CCleaner, and Diskeeper Lite to defrag.

I have recently installed Zone Alarm firewall (was using the one that came with XP) - I think it's the source of a lot of odd stuff going on. Can I have the Zone Alarm firewall along with AdAware, Spybot, SpySweeper, as well as AVG 7.5 and SpywareBlaster and SpyGuard? Are they conflicting with each other? Or is there something still hidden on my PC that a regular XP "search" won't help me with?

Also, I couldn't load any threads to read here, I could only start a new one (not having been able to check to see if my question has already been addressed.)

Having a computer can be so stressful sometimes. I am supposed to be connecting my home network by the weekend,, but I don't think I should until this isse is resolved - why is it hanging up (not really freezing up completely - eventually it'll load - I just open another tab and go do something else while I'm waiting - but I don't pay $60 a month for cable connection for nothing!

    Oh Help me, please!

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
Having that many anti-spyware applications running certainly won't be helping performance if their real-time scanners are all checking everything that you do to make sure that it is safe. To troubleshoot the performance problem, it may be best to just run Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. Enable Spybot's "TeaTimer" real-time scanner and the other one that protects Internet Explorer settings. Switch off Ad-Aware's real-time scanner and uninstall the other anti-spyware applications. AVG shouldn't affect this too much if it is just AVG Anti-Virus 7.5 Free Edition. Zone Alarm also won't be checking everything that goes on - it'll just monitor your Internet traffic.

Let us know if that helps
