    Issue with D-Link wireless router

Generally very pleased with my DSL-G624T wireless router. I have one problem, it seems. Certain secure sites are not allowing access, or at least the router is not sending data to them. E.g., I can access my bank details and swap money between my accounts, but not transfer money to others' accounts. Swap the router for my old ADSL modem - no problem. Similarly, I can't access previously stored data on my car insurance site - again no probs with old modem. Clearly the router is blocking stuff, but I don't know how to allow it. Turning off Windows XP firewall has no effect. Any ideas? I guess there's an extra security setting somewhere which I need to disable??

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
    This router you have has:
    1.a Built-in NAT firewall
    2.Stateful Packet Inspection
3.DoS attacks prevention which prevents IP Spoofing, Land Attack, Smurf Attack, Ping of Death, TCP SYN flooding, ect.

Its nice that it has alot of security to it although it can be a pain in the ass.

Since I don't know a hole lot about your device the best advice I could give you would be to:

    1. First find your ip adress for the router. I think for you its (192.168.1.1) - MAKE SURE YOU TRY THAT.
    2. Once you have the ip adress open internet explorer and enter the ip adress into the adress bar. (put 192.168.1.1 into the adress bar)
    3. Once you do this you will see your router settings.
    4. Go through the settings till you find somthing about a firewall, or filter and simply turn it lower or off.

the other option i would think of its to click on "start", "control panel", "system", then click on the tab "hardware", "device manager" then find your router wich would probably be under "network adapters". Once you find it right click on it and go to "properties" then the "advanced" tab and see if there is an option there.

    Good luck.
