I installed a Talk talk broadband system last night. Got a "no dial tone detected" but unplugged all phones and from the master socket set up the link to TalkTalk. Then added back the phones with a filter with each untill I had all phones back and a broadband link.

By coincidence someone else I know was instaling TalkTalk, but having big problems - "no dial tone detected". All phones were unplugged. Dial modem disabled.

Tried a couple of things. Installed BT Voyger 100 modem and tried to link to TalkTalk. Didn't get the "no dial tone" message it said it was dialing 0, but just sat there.

Trying to get through to TalkTalk is ironically extremely difficult. Tried a number of occasions, and been cut off each time.

Is it possible that the Broadband service is not activated.
