i got a wireless router today and planned to put my pc and my sons pc on the router, me connected with cables and his wireless, i did think it would be easy, having done everything in the instructions, setting internet options to 'obtain IP address automatically' and 'obtain Dns server address automatically' but for some reason when i plug the cables in correctly the router lights only show power, WLAN and 1 on and not internet. there is nothing wrong with the cables as they both work when connecting pc to modem, i have set my sons pc up and it detects the router, but can't connect to the internet even tho data is being passed, when i try using msn messenger it won't find DSN address. anyone got any suggestions
would be very grateful for any assistance.
