I just checked and my wireless laptop can see the other PC's and share thier folders, the PC cant access any of the laptop shared docs unless I turn the firewall off.

but if I connect with cables I have no problem shareing even with the firewall on

I'll do some googling and playing around with the lappy to sort it out

I've done some playing aeound with the firewall (I use Sygate) it's down to what network interface is selected, if I select the wireless adapter I have no problems sharing files.

    what firewall are you using?

hi, i'm new too, and my other computer has the whole, local area connection: A network cable is unplugged, thing going on as well. it won't let me get on the internet, and even though i've tried the troubleshooter and disabling it, nothing seems to be working. i'm getting really frustrated, so if anybody knows how to help, i would greatly appreciate it
