    Help Telewest wireless broadband-2 laptops

Hi .I have telewest wireles broadband.they supplied what looks like router but they call it an "access point" which plugs into their set top box (used for cableTV).This access point is made by netgear. Also supplied was a pc card that goes into my laptop and hence we have wireleess !
We now have a 2nd laptop and will probably want to use both at the same time wirelessly to connect to the internet.
Telewest says impossible with present supplied equipment and wont officially help BUT off record advised to get a dsl router and a another netgear card for new laptop
Can anyone offer help in simple language as to how to get me sorted ie how I do it from start to finish and what I need to buy thanks

    Hi and welcome to D-A-L

if you get a wireless router (about £40) then you should be able to connect the other PC up, also most routers have Ethernet sockets so you can connect PC's using cables.

I'm on Telewest and use a wireless router.
