Ive had this problem for a good while now but it's getting worse.

It just started one day a few weeks back i think.

When i start up my computer the modem won't be able to pick up a signal, indefinately. However, when i pick up the phone, it will then find signal. I've tried ringing BT but obviously when i ring them its fine...because im on the phone.

Ive tried a new filter (something BT suggested) and have reinstalled my BT software (again, on their recommendation) but the problem persists.

Recent its been getting worse because when i pick up the phone, it will find signal. After about 5 mins the connection will drop out. Then on reconnection the first attempt will fail saying something about the PPP link protocol? But the second attempt will succeed.

Any more info you need plz just ask and ty in advance for your time.
