Talking Wireless problem - Aquiring network address???

    Help!!

I got BY Voyager yesterday, so far I have it on one computer but it will not work on my mums computer??

Basically when I click on 'connect' there is a message saying 'Aquiring network address' and then after about 2 minutes that disappears and a little baloon pops up saying "ths conncetion has limited or no connectivity. You might not be able to access the internet or some network resources". I know it is not the router otherwise this comptuter would not work!!

Also, I phoned BT last night, they were not much help but asked me to type into run 'cmd' on my computer this comes up with the ISP they gave me but on my mums it says "media disconnected"

Could it be that my mum does not have some hardware she needs? Her compter is from dell and only 2 weeks old:S

Thanks sooo much for your help!!

Does you Mom's computer have a wireless network adapter? What version of Windows, make and model of the wireless router?

just wondering, do you have service pack 2 installed? I just installed it and suddenly wireless just completely stopped working and gave the same error you have. I have seen other people with the same problem. If you can enable encryption it is supposed to help... but i use networks that aren't secure so thats not an option for me so i had to uninstall sp2 and now my computer is slow... i'll probably start a topic about it seperate from this one but your problem just sounded way to much like mine not to mention something

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
Oh also if by chance it is SP2 thats getting you (I'm probably wrong but just throwin this out there in case i'm not) Some people have had success simply reseting the router. Which also won't work for me because i'm not providing my own network but trying to connect to a university wireless network... oh well good luck
